Our History

Robert Crawford started selling firearms from his site on Maghera Main Street in 1956.

A passionate shot and wildflower he passed his skills to his son Gilbert who represented Ireland at clays throughout the 60’s and 70’s. Crawford Field Sports moved to larger premises in 1986 at 34 Main Street and started to stock a wealth of fishing accessories and outdoor country clothing. In 2016 the shop again relocated to bigger premises, to the old Danske Bank located at 58 Main Street, Maghera where the bank’s old walk in safe makes for a very impressive gun room.

The business was also able to increase the range of accessories and clothing available and to offer a repair service. Crawfords Field Sports has been dedicated to providing the best quality at the best prices and expert advice since inception.
